• Fixed a bug where configuration changes, like Telegram setups, would be overwritten on restart.

Improved Telegram and Discord channel pairing flows. Agents can now approve pairing codes directly, rather than inconsistently building custom tools.

Fixed an issue with Forge on Intel Mac computers.

More direct CLI tooling for agents — more diagnostic tools and configuration access is now available to the agent.

Updated connection success pages when connecting Google, GitHub, and Outlook accounts.

• Files are saved automatically to ~/Documents/Forge AI/ (Mac) or Documents\Forge AI\ (Windows).
• Attach a PowerPoint file in chat and Forge will read the slide content, the same way it already reads PDFs, Word docs, and Excel files.
• Excel files support both creation and in-place editing — ask your agent to update a specific cell or append rows to an existing spreadsheet.

Files created by your agent appear as clickable cards in chat — with Open and Show in Folder buttons right where the agent references them.

Forge relies on a local gateway to start the AI engine. On Windows, this gateway was being closed when closing Forge, but race conditions meant gateways would end and start inconsistently during closures and launches. Now, pressing the “X” keeps the gateway alive — reopening from the tray is instant with no cold start. Right-click the tray icon and select “Quit” to exit fully.

Race condition handling on Windows launches is also improved. Your first launch may take a little longer now, but should be more reliable. The “Restart” button is still available if your initial launch fails to initialize the gateway.

Fixed an issue where agents were sometimes unsure of their own capabilities. Agents now ship with an up-to-date quick reference guide of every custom skill and tool available to them — Office file creation, email, calendar, GitHub, scheduling, and more. Just ask them what you'd like help with.

• First-time installations on Windows now handle background setup more gracefully, with a progress message while your computer gets Forge ready.
• Reopening Forge after closing it is now consistently smooth. Previous sessions no longer interfere with new ones.
• The Restart button on error screens now re-runs the full launch sequence with visual progress, so you can see what is happening.

• Scanned documents and image-heavy PDFs can now be read and understood by your AI, in addition to standard text-based PDFs.

If your AI's configuration becomes invalid after setting up an integration incorrectly, Forge now detects the issue automatically and guides you through resetting it without losing your conversation history or memories.

• Better text readability in both light and dark mode throughout the app.
• Improved error screens with clearer messaging and more helpful action options.
• Redesigned Sign In button on the welcome screen.
• Minor layout fixes in the launch flow.

• Misspelled words are underlined as you type. Right-click for suggestions from the system dictionary.
• Common typos are silently corrected on the fly. Type a space or punctuation and the fix happens automatically. Backspace once to undo if it guessed wrong.
• Spelling assistance is on by default and can be turned off in Preferences.

Forge for Windows is now distributed with a verified OV code signing certificate.

• Fixed an issue where Forge could fail to launch on a cold start while Windows Defender scanned the application files. Forge now waits longer on first launch and shows a status message so you know it is still loading.
• Fixed an issue where leftover background processes from a previous session could prevent Forge from starting correctly.

Previously, certain tool actions including writing files, running commands, and multi-step operations could silently fail when the AI was working with large amounts of content. The underlying issue has been fixed. Tool calls now complete reliably regardless of output size.

• Drag a file onto the chat, or use the attachment button. Either way works.
• Word documents (.docx) are read in full -- your AI can summarize, edit, translate, or answer questions about them.
• Spreadsheets (.xlsx) can be attached and analyzed. Ask your AI to compare, explain, or calculate from your data.

The image shows in the chat sidebar, making your assistant feel a little more like yours. Remove it anytime to return to the default.

• Scroll-to-top and scroll-to-bottom buttons now float inside the chat area and appear when you need them.
• The sidebar can be collapsed to give your chat more room when you want to focus.
• Fixed an issue where messages could stretch unexpectedly wide. Conversations now display consistently across all screen sizes.

A number of reliability fixes across Mac and Windows, including better behavior on first launch, smoother updates, and reduced edge-case crashes.

Manually control how much capability your AI uses for any given task. Five modes (Auto, Low, Medium, High, and Ultra) let you balance response quality against credit usage — save your heavy compute for complex work and coast through simple tasks on Low. Auto adapts based on your plan. Ultra is available exclusively on the Forge tier.

Connect multiple Google and Microsoft accounts and switch between them on the fly. Calendar, email, and contacts now work across all your connected accounts.

Added native Discord and Telegram configuration handlers to the AI's knowledge base. Just ask your agent to help you connect, and it will ensure configuration is properly and safely edited.

In the rare event your Forge agent fails to start, especially after making configuration changes, you can now reset your AI's configuration back to a clean state directly from the Settings panel. Your account, subscription, and conversation history are not affected.

• Ask your AI to check your inbox, search for emails, or read a specific message and it will handle it without opening a browser.
• Your AI can look up upcoming calendar events and create new ones on your behalf.
• Search your contacts by name and get their details instantly.
• Your account tokens are stored with OS-level encryption and never leave your device.

• Your AI reads and describes text, layout, objects, and colors accurately.
• Image analysis retries automatically if the first attempt doesn't go through.

• Live usage bars show how much of your monthly budget has been used.
• Budget banners appear when you're approaching your limit so you're never caught off guard.
• All connected services visible at a glance from the Account tab.

• Paste images and text with Cmd/Ctrl+V or right-click in the chat window.
• Your AI's name now persists correctly after restarting Forge.
• Upgrading Forge on Windows while it was already running no longer causes a stuck launching screen.

• Short conversational messages get faster responses automatically.
• Complex tasks and longer conversations use the highest-quality model.

• When a new version is available, an update button appears directly in the app. One click and you are on the latest version.
• Mac and Windows both support silent background downloads so updates are ready to install the moment you want them.
• Upgrading no longer requires re-downloading the full installer from the website.
